Meredith Loughran Preschool is a mission of Sandston Presbyterian Church. Our mission at MLP is to provide an affordable, high quality preschool program with a play based, child centered approach in a nurturing, christian environment. Preschool is a time when children can learn so much if their development and growth are nurtured and supported, which is just what they will receive at MLP. We welcome your family to our preschool, and we hope your child’s learning experiences are filled with nothing, but happiness and joy.
Hours of Operation
Mid August through May
Now offering FULL TIME & PART TIME HOURS!
Monday -Friday (8:00am to 5:00pm) Days & times are flexible, we will work with you.
We follow Henrico County Public Schools Calendar.
Registration
Now enrolling for fall 2024. The following programs are from 8:00am to 5:00pm and are as follows.
5 Day (Monday – Friday) $140.00 per week
3 Day (Monday, Wednesday, Friday) $120.00 per week

Our Preschool Director
Devon Pence is the Preschool Director here at MLP and is very excited to be a part of your child’s first school experience. She began Early Childhood Education while in high school, through the Advance Career Education Center at Highland Springs High School. After graduating she continued her education while teaching in a private preschool, focusing on Language Arts, Math, Science, and Social Studies for Children, Child Psychology, and Guiding the Behavior of Children. She loves teaching preschool, because she gets to help children learn in new ways. Each child learns in a different way, but all children learn through exploring. The moment a child’s eyes light up when they have discovered something new is a highlight of her day! She enjoys going fishing and camping, spending time with her family, going to the beach, and is an animal lover (especially dogs)!
History
The Preschool was first established in September of 1978 as Sandston Presbyterian Preschool. The preschool was renamed Meredith Loughran in honor of a child of the church who had attended the preschool and was later killed in 1998 while serving as an active-duty naval flight officer aboard the USS Enterprise during operation “Desert Fox.”
